Biography
Gayla Coatney received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida.
Gayla grew up in Panama City, Florida where she initially became a Registered Nurse. After obtaining her BSN degree, she pursued the opportunity to become a travel nurse specializing in Women’s Services while continuing her education and has worked in Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, Idaho, Arkansas, and Texas. Gayla found a love for the Texas culture and people; and after finishing her graduate degree, she relocated to Texas.
She received her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Gayla is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in several areas throughout her career, but her passion is within Womens Services. She joined Seven Oaks Women’s Center in 2020.
Since joining the Seven Oaks family, she gave birth to her first child and enjoys spending her free time with her son, exploring the outdoors, cooking, and exercising.
