Biography
Laura Silva was born and raised here in San Antonio. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology – Exercise Science in 2012 from The University of Texas at San Antonio. After spending time gaining experience in multiple areas of medicine and patient care, she went on to earn her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2016. Upon completion of her studies, she accepted her Commission as an Officer in the United States Navy Medical Service Corps. While serving in the military she gained experience in Family Practice and discovered her true passion, Women’s Health.
After returning home in early 2020, Laura started working in Family Practice and Gynecology at the community level, providing quality healthcare to the underserved. Now, in April 2023, Laura is thrilled to further specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology and join the highly regarded Seven Oaks Women’s Center team.
When Laura is not giving all she can in patient care, you can find her doing what she loves most, spending time with her high school sweetheart husband, Thomas, and their beautiful rescue dog, Nola. On weekends, you can find them enjoying the outdoors, eating good food, spending time with family, and maybe even scuba diving in nearby lakes!
