Dr. Ivonne Durand earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University. She then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Durand completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.
Dr. Durand is board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She enjoys caring for women throughout all stages of life and values the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients. Her areas of interest include preventive women's healthcare, contraception counseling, PCOS/PMOS, benign gynecologic concerns, pregnancy and postpartum care, and helping women navigate important health decisions with confidence and support.
As an OB/GYN, Dr. Durand believes every patient deserves compassionate, personalized care and a physician who takes the time to listen, educate, and partner with them in achieving their healthcare goals.
Originally from Cuba, Dr. Durand is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is excited to join Seven Oaks Women's Center and serve the women and families of San Antonio and the surrounding communities.
Dr. Durand moved to San Antonio with her husband, Kevin, who is completing his plastic surgery training. Outside of medicine, they enjoy traveling, fitness, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and their dog, Luke.
