Women's Health Education

The Internet has come to be the means of educating yourself on a variety of topics and that includes medical conditions. Unfortunately, running a search will often lead to inaccurate or incorrect information based on someone’s personal opinion or poor scientific evidence.

Health Education Websites

Below we have compiled a few excellent sources of medical health and education information. These are all official websites that maintain the most up to date information on just about any medical condition you can imagine.

Up to Date

One of the best sites out there, with great information written by physicians. And it is free!

National Library of Medicine

Medline Plus, a service of the National Library of Medicine, is very comprehensive.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

There is a great "A to Z" Pregnancy Guide here.

Pamphlets for OB/GYN Conditions and Procedures

Furnished by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, read online or order by mail.

WomensHealth.gov

The Federal government source of women’s health information. A division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Motherisk.org

The Motherisk Program at The Hospital for Sick Children is a teratogen information service providing up-to-date information about the risk and safety of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Research and education in the program is also an important ongoing activity.

Davincisurgery.com
